Telos Trio, featuring Rita George Simmons, flute, Carl Galland, clarinet and Willie La Favor, piano will present a concert of spring inspired music! The concert is free upon paid admission to the George Eastman Museum as the Museum features beautiful displays of blooming spring flowers. Music of Ratcliff, Harberg, Dorff and others will be performed.

The Telos Trio commissioned Cary Ratcliff to write Fresh Wind for Our Sails in 2019. The result is a colorful, evocative, engaging composition that delighted the audience at its premiere. The work is inspired by a century of commitments in the faith community of Rochester, New York, to build a community of justice and peace. With movements titled “Fanfare for the Common Good,” “Let Justice Roll Down Like Waters,” “Eulogy for Lost Ground,” ”Fresh Wind for Our Sails,” and “Until Justice and Peace Embrace,” Ratcliff brilliantly depicts the blowing of fresh wind that inspires and energizes that work, the wails of anguish when ground is lost, and the ringing of bells which call together all who will strive for the common good.

Gossamer Edge will be performing a sampling of our "Spotlight on Faculty" concert at Hochstein in November, "Songs We Forgot to Remember; Hidden Gems of Love and Life". This program is not open to the public.

Gossamer Edge will herald in the spring in the "Garden of Delights"! Allyn Van Dusen, voice, Rita George Simmons, Flute and Paula Bobb on piano will dazzle the audience with music of Cary Ratcliff, John Alden Carpenter and Ippolitov-Ivanov, If unable to attend this free concert in person in the beautiful Hochstein Performance Hall, then tune in on WXXI 91.5 Classical Radio for the live Broadcast.
